Slow Food Miami hosted their annual event, “Freshest Night Out”, to recognize chefs, artisans and restaurants who focus on quality and local sourcing. The event's main intention was to raise awareness and appreciation with all proceeds going toward school garden planting and programming.
You came, you ate food from Miami's best restaurants, met chefs and farmers, drank quality beverages, hung out with like minded people who care about quality food, and all the while you were practically planting school gardens all over Miami Dade! AMAZING, right?
The event was held at Miami Beach Botanical Gardens on April 24th from 7-10pm.
This year, the line up was spectacular, with the biggest class of new approvals, a great showing of previous winners, the new category of farmers, and and added tbonus of silent and live auction items. Your favorite "bite of the night," winners were be chosen by celebrity judges and popular vote. Belkys Nereh hosted the evening.
Sumptuous wines were provided by Vinecraft, who specializes in small batch, high quality wines, and beer was provided by local Slow Food Approved brewer, Daddy Brews. Grey Goose delivered a delicious line up of craft garden to glass cocktails.
The night was rockin' with DJ Trendy Wendy and plenty of good eats and drinks!!
